PrankStation ("we", "the app", "the developer") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information the app handles and how.

Summary

PrankStation does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. All data the app uses stays on your Mac. The app does not include analytics, tracking, or advertising.

What the app accesses (on your Mac only)

• Camera — to record reaction videos during a prank. Videos are saved only to your Mac in the app's Application Support folder (~/Library/Application Support/PrankStation/Reactions/). The app never uploads them.
• Microphone — for impact-sound detection, speech-keyword triggers, and audio in reaction recordings. Audio is processed locally and either discarded immediately or saved to your reaction video on-device.
• Accessibility — to detect rapid keyboard presses for the slam trigger. Key events are observed to count them; no keystroke content is stored or transmitted.
• Speech recognition — uses Apple's on-device speech recognizer. Your voice is not sent to Apple or any other server.
• Local network (optional) — if you enable the Remote iPhone Trigger, the app runs a small HTTP server on your Wi-Fi so your phone can talk to your Mac. Nothing leaves your local network.
• Video files you pick — the app plays video files you select. They remain on your Mac.

Data collected by the developer

None. We do not run analytics, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind.

Payments

PrankStation Pro is sold directly through our website, with payment processed by Gumroad. Their privacy policy applies: gumroad.com/privacy. We receive only your email address and order details, used solely to deliver the license key.

Reaction videos

Reaction videos recorded by the app stay on your Mac. They are never uploaded or transmitted by PrankStation. If you choose to share a reaction video (Export → Share), the macOS share sheet sends it only where you direct it.

Children

PrankStation is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13.
